Shawn is excited to be contracted with Cozy Cat Press for a new series "The Hannah Sparry History Mysteries."  The series features Hannah Sparrow, an amateur sleuth from the Lac du Flambeau Band of Chippewa Indians.

Shawn Shallow is the author of historical works from articles to four feature books.   Excerpts from his first work, "Rescue at the Top of the World", are featured annually on the History Channel.

Shawn has undergraduate and graduate degrees from Marquette University and has held faculty positions at three universities. Shawn lives in Birmingham, Alabama, with his wife, Margaret.

College was partially funded by the US Coast Guard where Shawn served as a Petty Officer in the reserves.  This association resulted in a lifelong interest in maritime history leading to his current works.  Shawn is founder and president of the Coast Guard Historical Society.
